Eliminates the mandatory postgraduate professional experience requirement for initial licensure as a speech-language pathologist, allowing applicants to qualify with only a master's or doctorate degree, clinical practicum, and passing the national exam

Changes interim license applications from mandatory ("shall apply") to optional ("may apply") for those completing postgraduate professional experience

Requires interim licensees who fail the national examination to submit documentation of exam preparation and continue practicing under supervision while preparing to retake the exam

Maintains that speech-language pathology assistants may only practice within public schools under appropriate supervision, with services provided outside this scope constituting unlicensed practice subject to penalties
