Parents or guardians must submit written requests to exclude or withdraw eligible students from Algebra I enrollment; students cannot be removed without parental consent except through documented good-faith contact attempts

Local school boards must adopt and publish district plans by December 1, 2025 establishing policies for advanced coursework and accelerated learning in grades 4-12, including service delivery options for gifted and talented students

Kentucky Department of Education must submit annual reports through the 2036-2037 school year detailing demographics and geography of 8th graders enrolled in Algebra I, those eligible for automatic enrollment, and those excluded or withdrawn

School superintendents must submit implementation plans to local boards by August 1, 2027 identifying personnel, technology, and transportation needs for the 2028-2029 rollout, with early implementation permitted
