Law enforcement agencies must adopt written policies requiring submission of missing persons case information to the Department of Kentucky State Police for entry into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

Missing persons reports involving minors must be referred to Kentucky State Police within 30 days of receiving the report

Missing persons reports involving adults must be referred to Kentucky State Police within 60 days of receiving the report

Compliance with these NamUs reporting requirements is added as a condition for local government units to remain eligible for funding from the Law Enforcement Foundation Program
