Establishes the Mental Health Alternative Community Response Model Task Force to study and recommend programs for alternative mental health crisis response services in Kentucky, where more than 813,000 residents have a mental health condition.

Task force membership consists of 8 legislators: 3 Senate members appointed by the President (including one co-chair), 1 Senate member appointed by the Minority Floor Leader, 3 House members appointed by the Speaker (including one co-chair), and 1 House member appointed by the House Minority Floor Leader.

Requires input from Kentucky State Police, local law enforcement, the Kentucky Court of Justice, the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, and state and national mental health advocacy groups.

Task force must meet during the 2026 Interim and submit findings and recommendations to the Legislative Research Commission by December 1, 2026.

Legislative Research Commission may alternatively assign the study to an interim joint committee or subcommittee with a designated completion date.
