Kentucky Senate resolution adjourning in honor of Brigadier General Billy Brandon Morgan (April 11, 1929 – February 28, 2026), a Benton, Kentucky resident who served 35 years in the U.S. Air Force, Air Force Reserve, and Tennessee Air National Guard before retiring in September 1985

Enlisted in the Air Force in 1951, served as pilot instructor in Germany and France during and after the Korean War, flew troop and cargo missions during the Vietnam War, and achieved the rank of brigadier general in 1981

Received numerous military decorations including the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Army of Occupation Medal (Germany)

Served as principal owner of Morgan, Trevathan, and Gunn insurance and real estate firm for 35 years, and held leadership positions including Benton City Council, Marshall County Hospital Board of Directors, and chairman of the board of trustees for Freed-Hardeman University

Directs the Clerk of the Senate to transmit a copy of the resolution to Senator Danny Carroll for delivery to the family
