Kentucky Senate resolution recognizing and commending the Kentucky state Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program for its advocacy on behalf of residents in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, personal care homes, and family care homes

Program operates through the Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman with 15 district programs, 40 full-time staff, and 191 volunteers serving over 40,000 residents in more than 600 long-term care facilities statewide

Ombudsmen identify, investigate, and resolve complaints made by or on behalf of residents while advocating for systemic improvements to quality of care

Program is funded through federal, state, and local sources and provides services at no charge to residents

Clerk of the Senate directed to transmit a copy of the resolution to Senator Amanda Mays Bledsoe for delivery
