Senate resolution adjourning in honor and loving memory of Leigh Caroline Reed, who passed away on April 16, 2025, at age 26

Reed was a Marion County High School graduate (2017), Governor's Scholar, and Western Kentucky University Mahurin Honors College graduate with a biology degree and chemistry minor

She was pursuing a Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, scheduled to graduate in May 2025; her family accepted the degree on her behalf

Reed was active in her faith community as a dual member of Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church and Highview Baptist Church, participating in mission trips to Guatemala, Ecuador, and Belize

Directs the Clerk of the Senate to transmit a copy of the resolution to Senator Jimmy Higdon for delivery to her family
