Senate resolution adjourning in honor and loving memory of Dixie P. Hibbs (January 12, 1942 – October 3, 2025), a Bardstown community leader and historian

Served on Bardstown city council for 19 years and became the city's first female mayor upon election in 2002

Published more than 17 books and wrote over 20 articles on local history; was the first woman inducted into the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame

Active in historical preservation including Wickland (home of three governors), and participated in organizations including the Daughters of the American Revolution and Kentucky Bourbon Festival board

Directs the Clerk of the Senate to transmit a copy of the resolution to Senator Jimmy Higdon for delivery to the family
