In Kentucky, 17 YMCAs with 3,000 staff members provide childcare, afterschool programs, summer camps, swim lessons, senior wellness, and nutritious meals to more than 150,000 individuals annually

Historical contributions include inventing basketball, pioneering the first night school and ESL classes, hosting the first Father's Day celebration in 1910, and establishing the Youth and Government Program in 1936
