Senate resolution honoring Joseph Hardin McFarland (January 30, 1931 – January 14, 2026), a Bowling Green, Kentucky native who passed away at age 94

McFarland served 28 years in the United States Army, including service in Korea, Vietnam, and Germany, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel from the 6th Army Medical Command in 1976

Held degrees including a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Nebraska Omaha and a Master of Hospital Administration from Baylor University

Active in community service for 40 years through the Noon Rotary Club, Salvation Army board, Presbyterian Church (as elder and deacon), and started a shoe and sock donation drive for Warren Elementary School

Senate adjourns in his memory and directs the Clerk to transmit a copy of the resolution to Senator Mike Wilson for delivery to the family
