Louisiana's six congressional districts are redrawn based on 2020 federal decennial census data, with each district targeting an ideal population of 776,292 persons

District boundaries become effective immediately upon governor's signature for qualifying and conducting the 2024 congressional elections, with full effect for all other purposes at noon on January 3, 2025

The existing congressional district law (R.S. 18:1276) is repealed and replaced with new district compositions (R.S. 18:1276.1) detailing specific precincts for each of the six districts

Current officeholders based on existing congressional districts retain their positions until January 3, 2025; positions filled after that date must use the new district boundaries

District population deviations from ideal range from -20 persons (District 4) to +63 persons (District 6), with an overall relative deviation range of 0.01%
