Reduces the minimum service requirement from 30 years to 25 years for Louisiana State Employees' Retirement System retirees to qualify for an exemption from benefit changes when returning to work

Retirees who meet all eligibility criteria can continue receiving full retirement benefits without increase, suspension, or reduction while reemployed in state service

Eligibility requirements include: at least 25 years of credited service, retired for at least one year, eligible for full retirement benefits, and appointed by the governor to an unclassified civil service position

Any costs resulting from this change will be funded through additional employer contributions as required by the Louisiana Constitution
