Grants the East Baton Rouge Redevelopment Authority independent power to expropriate abandoned or blighted property to revitalize economically depressed areas

Removes the current requirement that expropriation power must be granted by the appropriate governing authority

Expropriation authority is limited to placing abandoned or blighted property back into commerce through rehabilitation

The Authority covers all territory in East Baton Rouge Parish, including Baker, Baton Rouge, Central, and Zachary

Amends R.S. 33:4720.151(H)(3)
