Removes statutory salary caps for parole board members (previously $50,000 for chairman, $47,000 for vice chairman, $44,000 for other members) and transfers salary-setting authority to the legislature through the general appropriation bill

Establishes a percentage-based salary structure: chairman receives 10% more than regular board/committee members, vice chairman receives 5% more than regular members

Shifts payment of salaries and expenses from individual member warrants authorized by the governor to the general operating fund of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections, authorized by the secretary

Ex officio members remain excluded from compensation provisions

Members continue to receive reimbursement for necessary travel and other expenses incurred in performing official duties
