Amends and reenacts over 30 Louisiana Civil Code articles to standardize terminology, replacing "third party" with "third person" and "third-party" (hyphenated) throughout the Code

Enacts new Articles 14 and 15 establishing that gendered words apply to all genders and singular/plural terms are interchangeable unless context indicates otherwise

Relocates the multistate cases/conflict of laws provision from Article 14 to new Article 3514 in Book IV for more accurate placement

Adds a definition of "abandonment" directly to survival action (Art. 2315.1) and wrongful death action (Art. 2315.2) provisions, specifying the 12-month absence and failure to provide care standard

Streamlines Article 3506's general definitions by deleting outdated terms (family, children) and adding a new definition of "juridical act" as a manifestation of will intended to produce legal consequences
