Increases the maximum parcel fee for the Lakewood Crime Prevention and Improvement District from $450 to $600 per parcel per year

Removes the original expiration date tied to the 2010 New Orleans mayoral election and establishes a new renewal process

Allows the fee to be renewed by majority vote of registered district voters for terms not exceeding eight years

Eliminates the previous provision allowing voters to change the maximum fee amount, now only permitting renewal elections

Takes effect upon the governor's signature or after the constitutional time period for unsigned bills
