Private receivers must execute a performance bond set by the court (waivable for just cause), while local governmental subdivisions serving as receivers require no bond

Receivers must submit a transition and operational plan within 90 days of appointment, including service restoration measures, financial assessments, customer service provisions, and a resolution timeline

Courts may dissolve receivership upon request by the company owner/operator showing good cause, and receivers are permitted to purchase the company placed in receivership
