Requires athletic trainers to hold credentials from the Board of Certification, Inc. rather than meeting state-specific qualifications under R.S. 37:3306.1

Removes the requirement for athletic trainers to have a degree from a Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education-accredited program

Repeals definitions for "athlete," "athletic injury," "board-approved organization," and "educational institution" from the athletic trainer licensing statute

Redefines "physical rehabilitation" and "practice of prevention" to reference written clinical practice guidelines prescribed by a supervising physician

Expands grounds for license denial, revocation, or suspension to cover paying for any referrals, not just referrals of injured athletes to athletic trainers
