Authorizes the Edgefield board of aldermen, upon the mayor's recommendation, to abolish the office of chief of police in the village of Edgefield, Red River Parish

Abolition becomes effective at the end of the current police chief's term or when a vacancy occurs, whichever comes first

If the position is held by a temporarily appointed officer, abolition takes effect as specified by ordinance

Permits the mayor and board of aldermen to contract or enter cooperative endeavor agreements with any law enforcement entity or officer within Red River Parish for police services if the office and department are abolished
