Employers must notify employees at least annually of their right to withdraw from union membership and cease dues payments, using a standardized form prescribed by the attorney general that includes First Amendment rights language in 14-point boldface font

Labor organizations are responsible for all administrative costs related to collecting dues and processing employee opt-outs

Law enforcement and firefighters are exempt from these provisions; the law applies prospectively to new or modified collective bargaining agreements after August 1, 2025
