Full-time fire protection officers employed by the Lakefront Management Authority would receive $600 per month in state supplemental pay, adding them to the list of eligible agencies that includes municipalities, parishes, fire districts, tribal governments, and port authorities

Eligibility requires completion of one year of service; officers hired after March 31, 1986 must also complete NFPA Standard 1001 Firefighter I and II Certification or an LSU-approved training program, plus airport rescue and firefighting certification

Any future increases to supplemental pay for other fire protection officers would automatically apply to Lakefront Management Authority officers as well

Effectiveness is contingent on voter approval of a proposed constitutional amendment to Article X, Section 10(A)(1)(b) at a statewide election
