Louisiana enacts the Dietitian Licensure Compact, allowing licensed dietitians to practice across member states through a "compact privilege" without obtaining separate licenses in each state

Establishes the Dietitian Licensure Compact Commission as a joint government agency to administer the compact, with one delegate per member state and authority to promulgate rules, collect fees, and maintain a coordinated data system

Requires applicants for compact privileges to hold current registration as a registered dietitian or complete an ACEND-accredited master's/doctoral degree program, 1,000+ hours of supervised practice, and pass the CDR registration examination

Adds fingerprint-based criminal background checks through the Louisiana Bureau of Criminal Identification and FBI as a new requirement for dietitian licensure applicants

The compact becomes effective when enacted by seven states and includes provisions for military families to designate a home state, adverse action reporting between states, and a 180-day withdrawal notice period for states leaving the compact
