Additional fines imposed for operating while impaired (OWI) convictions: $25 for first offense, $50 for second offense, $100 for third offense, and $250 for fourth or subsequent offense

Additional $5 fine imposed for speeding violations (maximum speed limit and general speed law), reckless operation of a vehicle (first offense), and reckless operation of an off-road vehicle

Additional fines for reckless vehicle operation increase to $10 for second or subsequent offenses

Drag racing fines escalate by offense: $10 (first), $20 (second), $40 (third), and $100 (fourth or subsequent)

All collected fines must be forwarded by sheriffs to the state treasurer within 30 days and deposited into the Louisiana Emergency Response Network Fund
