Establishes a modified comparative fault system in Louisiana by amending Civil Code Article 2323, barring plaintiffs from recovering any damages if they are 51% or more at fault for their own injury, death, or loss

Allows plaintiffs who are less than 51% at fault to recover damages, reduced in proportion to their percentage of negligence

Requires juries to be instructed on the effect of comparative fault rules when the issue is submitted to them

Effective January 1, 2026
