Prohibits "unauthorized aliens" (persons unlawfully present in the U.S. under federal immigration law) from receiving general damages and past/future wages in lawsuits arising from automobile accidents

Creates new Civil Code Article 2315.12 to establish these damage limitations

Provides an exception allowing unauthorized aliens to still make claims against uninsured or underinsured motorist policies where they are named as an insured

Enacted as Act No. 17 of the 2025 Regular Session, sponsored by Representatives Firment and Edmonston
