Redefines terminology throughout Louisiana's IVF law, replacing "human embryo" and "in vitro fertilized human ovum" with "in vitro fertilized human embryo," and establishes that embryos are presumed viable unless deemed nonviable based on failure to progress through developmental milestones

Grants viable IVF embryos status as "juridical persons" with capacity to sue or be sued and recognition as separate entities from the medical facilities storing them, while prohibiting intentional destruction of viable embryos

Expands physician qualification requirements to include double board certification (or eligibility) in both obstetrics/gynecology and reproductive endocrinology/infertility from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Removes marriage requirement for embryo donation by changing "married couple" to "person," allowing any willing and able person to receive donated embryos through notarial act renouncement

Provides criminal immunity for physicians and healthcare providers performing IVF procedures (except for acts with criminal intent) and routes civil malpractice claims through the Louisiana Medical Malpractice Act
