Reduces the minimum service requirement from 15 years to 12 years for Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office retirees to qualify for fully-paid group health insurance and the first $10,000 of life insurance premiums

Applies to sheriffs and deputy sheriffs hired on or after July 1, 2018 who are entitled to receive benefits from the Sheriff's Pension and Relief Fund

Eligible retirees must be at least 55 years of age, or have retired with at least 30 years of total service combined with the required 12 years at the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office

Insurance premium costs are paid from the sheriff's general fund
