Pharmacists and pharmacy permit holders may request rescission of Louisiana Board of Pharmacy disciplinary actions and expungement of related records if the Attorney General issues a written opinion that the board's legal interpretation was erroneous

Pharmacy permit holders may also seek expungement when an employee pharmacist committed violations without the permit holder's knowledge, the employee was terminated and reported, and no other agency took adverse action against the permit holder

Licensees of any professional/occupational board under Title 37 may request rescission and expungement of actions reported to the National Practitioner Data Bank if the Attorney General determines the board's legal interpretation was erroneous, or if adjudication proceedings concluded with no violation finding

Expunged records become privileged and confidential, are removed from public access but not destroyed, and are only available to the licensing board

Boards must submit void reports to third-party data banks stating the action has been fully rescinded and no record of violation exists for the licensee
