Adds criminal penalties for Open Meetings Law violations, making it a crime of malfeasance in office when a public body member knowingly and willfully participates in a meeting that violates the law

Criminal penalties under R.S. 14:134 include imprisonment up to 10 years (with or without hard labor), fines up to $5,000, or both

Existing civil penalty of up to $500 per violation remains in place, with personal liability for the member and a 60-day deadline to file suit

P.O.S.T. certified peace officers convicted under this provision would have their certification immediately revoked

Amends R.S. 42:28 to add the new criminal liability provision alongside the existing civil penalties
