Third-party restaurant reservation platforms (websites, apps, or internet services) are prohibited from listing, advertising, promoting, or selling reservations for restaurants without a contractual agreement with that establishment

"Food service establishments" covered include restaurants, cafeterias, lunch rooms, food stands, saloons, taverns, bars, and lounges

Civil penalties of up to $1,000 per violation may be imposed by the attorney general, with violations accruing daily for each affected restaurant

Penalty funds collected must be used by the attorney general to promote consumer protection and education

Consumers who paid for reservations through non-authorized platforms may receive restitution for the actual amount paid
