Creates a nine-member task force to study the financial and workforce impact of the August 2012 closure of General Motors' four million square foot truck plant facility in Shreveport, which employed approximately 500 workers plus thousands of related jobs

Task force membership includes representatives from Louisiana Workforce Commission, Louisiana Economic Development, Shreveport Regional Airport, Shreveport Downtown Development Authority, Louisiana Automobile Dealers Association, Shreveport-Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce, North Louisiana Economic Partnership, Louisiana Association of Business and Industry, and AFL-CIO

Task force must convene its first meeting by August 1, 2025 and submit a written report with findings and recommendations to the Legislature by December 31, 2025

Study scope includes examining the economic impact of auto manufacturing on Louisiana and neighboring states, advantages and disadvantages for workforce and businesses, and recommendations for attracting and maintaining automobile manufacturing facilities in the state

Louisiana Workforce Commission will provide staff support, and the task force may collaborate with other agencies and organizations as needed
