Louisiana House of Representatives commends Gloria Williams, head coach of Parkway High School girls' basketball since 2016, for her 196-81 overall record across nine seasons

Team achieved 164-32 record over the past six seasons and made four consecutive state championship appearances beginning in 2022, after having zero championship appearances before Williams arrived

Program won back-to-back Division I Non-select Girls' state championships in 2023 and 2024—the first and second state titles in program history

Williams received multiple honors including two-time Shreveport Times All-City Coach of the Year, 2023 Shreveport Times/Richard Lary Coach of the Year, and two-time Louisiana Sports Writers Association Class 5A Coach of the Year

Coached two Louisiana Sports Writers Association Outstanding Players of Class 5A: Mikaylah Williams (two-time Louisiana Gatorade Player of the Year, McDonald's All-American, now at LSU) and Chloe Larry (now at Tennessee Tech)
