Requests the Louisiana legislative auditor to conduct a follow-up review and update its February 20, 2024 report on coordination of public assistance and workforce development programs, with the updated report due no later than 30 days prior to the 2027 Regular Session

Louisiana spent approximately $3.2 billion (primarily federal funds) in 2023 on seven assistance programs serving approximately one million individuals, including SNAP, TANF, WIOA, unemployment insurance, and child care assistance

The original 2024 audit found Louisiana needs more collaboration among agencies, better data sharing, improved public information websites, and outcome measurement to determine program effectiveness

Governor Landry established the LA WASS Reform Task Force on March 22, 2024, which published recommendations on February 7, 2025 to integrate workforce, social services, education, child care, and health care programs

If HB 624 and HB 617 from the 2025 session are not enacted, the follow-up review would instead examine what workloads can be integrated without statutory changes and identify limitations on integration
