Louisiana Legislative Auditor directed to evaluate current public bid law, including contract limits for public works projects and purchase orders, as well as parish and municipal infrastructure project delivery processes

Auditor must review legislative proposals to improve efficiency and timeliness in infrastructure project delivery, along with procedural contract approval dates and relevant local policies

Auditor required to collaborate with public works directors from St. Tammany, Jefferson, East Baton Rouge, and Ascension Parishes, plus officials from New Orleans, Lafayette, and Shreveport, as well as representatives from contractor associations and the Police Jury Association and Louisiana Municipal Association

Written report with findings and recommendations due to House Transportation Committee by January 31, 2026

Resolution follows prior reforms including Act 111 of 2020 (raised public works contract limit from $150,000 to $250,000) and Act 761 of 2024 (temporarily raised contract limits for Super Bowl LIX preparation, enabling over 500 infrastructure improvements costing $70+ million)
