Creates a 7-member task force to study public health outcomes related to incurable sexually transmitted diseases (hepatitis B, herpes, HIV, HPV) and assess factors contributing to Louisiana's high STD rates

Task force membership includes the House District 17 representative, chairs of the Criminal Justice and Health/Welfare committees, and representatives from the Louisiana Commission on HIV and Hepatitis C, Louisiana Coalition on Criminalization and Health, Louisiana Department of Health infectious diseases bureau, and Louisiana District Attorneys Association

First meeting must be held no later than September 1, 2025, with findings and recommendations reported to the House of Representatives prior to the 2026 Regular Session

Members serve without compensation; Louisiana Department of Health provides staff support

Follows prior legislative attempts to address STD-related criminal laws, including the existing felony crime of intentional HIV exposure under R.S. 14:43.5
