Designates the last week of April 2025 as Louisiana Wildlife Rehabilitators Appreciation Week at the state capitol

Wildlife rehabilitators are licensed by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and receive no state compensation, paying all expenses out of pocket including food, enclosures, medicines, and veterinary care

Rehabilitators provide pro bono services estimated to save the state hundreds of thousands of dollars annually, plus equivalent in-kind donations

Licensed rehabilitators care for tens of thousands of displaced, newborn, orphaned, and injured wild animals each year

Urges residents and public officials throughout the state to recognize and support wildlife rehabilitators, with a copy of the resolution to be sent to the president of the Humane Society of Louisiana
