Adds privately owned vehicles of trauma surgeons to the legal definition of "authorized emergency vehicle" in Louisiana law

Allows qualified trauma surgeons to equip personal vehicles with large removable flashing red lights visible at 500 feet in normal sunlight when responding to emergencies

Eligibility limited to surgeons board certified by the American Board of Surgery or American Board of Medical Specialties with subspecialty in complex surgeries, actively practicing in Louisiana, and responding to Level I, II, or III trauma centers

Department of Public Safety required to adopt rules including surgeon registration with name and license plate number, annual documentation verification, and procedures for revocation or suspension for non-compliance

Effective August 1, 2025
