Pharmacists may dispense ivermectin to adults 18 and older under a standing order issued by a healthcare professional with prescriptive authority at the Louisiana Department of Health

Louisiana Department of Health must adopt rules establishing standard dispensing procedures, including patient screening risk assessments and information on indications, contraindications, proper usage, and medical follow-up

Rules may prohibit dispensing ivermectin containing ingredients the department determines to be harmful

Pharmacies may charge an administrative fee in addition to ingredient costs and dispensing fees

Pharmacists acting in good faith with reasonable care are immune from Louisiana Board of Pharmacy disciplinary actions and civil liability, except for gross negligence or willful misconduct

Health insurers are not required to cover the cost of ivermectin dispensed under this provision
