Limits medical expense recovery for uninsured motor vehicle accident claimants to amounts paid on their behalf plus 120% of the Medicare reimbursement rate (or 170% of Medicaid rate if no Medicare rate exists) for both past and future medical treatment

Past medical expenses use the Medicare/Medicaid rate in effect on the date of treatment, while future expenses use the rate in effect at the time of trial

Retains existing law limiting recovery for insured claimants to amounts actually paid by health insurers, Medicare, or Medicaid, plus applicable cost-sharing amounts

Applies prospectively only to causes of action filed on or after August 1, 2025

Amends R.S. 9:2800.27 by adding new Subsection (D) specific to uninsured motor vehicle accident claimants and renumbering subsequent subsections
