Renames the Lafitte Area Independent Levee District to the Lafitte Area Levee District

Increases the required number of professionals on the board of commissioners from two to four, with at least 10 years of experience each, including one civil engineer who must reside on the Westbank of Jefferson Parish

Establishes new term limits effective January 1, 2026, limiting board members to three consecutive four-year terms (reduced from four consecutive terms)

Prohibits board members and their immediate family from having business interests with the district, and bars members from accepting political campaign contributions or running for elected office within 12 months of leaving the board

Relocates the official domicile to Jefferson Parish and requires all board meetings to be held at the Southeast Louisiana Flood Authority-West offices
