Amends Louisiana Educational Assessment Program (LEAP) testing requirements for English language arts and mathematics to be administered in grades 3-8 and at least once in grades 9-11

Limits science and social studies testing to no more than four grade levels each by the 2027-2028 school year, with science and social studies tests prohibited from being given in the same grade levels

Requires fourth and eighth grade students to demonstrate proficiency in English language arts and mathematics (rather than all four subjects) to advance to grades 5 and 9

Directs the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education to investigate whether nationally normed or criterion-referenced assessments can satisfy federal accountability requirements and report findings to legislative education committees by February 6, 2026
