LA SB84

Creates an exception to Louisiana's ethics law (R.S. 42:1121) that normally prohibits former board or commission members from being employed by that entity for two years after their public service ends

Allows a commissioner of the Ernest N. Morial-New Orleans Exhibition Hall Authority serving as of January 1, 2025, to be employed by the authority regardless of when their public service terminated

Eligibility requires the commissioner to hold a master's of business administration degree and have at least 30 years of work experience in hospitality or hotel management

Employment requires a finding by the board of commissioners that circumstances require such action

The exception terminates on December 31, 2025, and becomes effective upon the governor's signature
