Replaces all references to "Gulf of Mexico" with "Gulf of America" throughout Louisiana state law, aligning with the designation by the United States Board on Geographic Names

Excludes "fastlands" from the definition of "waters of the state," including wetlands surrounded by levees, berms, flood protection structures, or natural formations that lack continuous surface connection to waters of the United States

Expands the definition of "fastlands" to include areas surrounded by privately owned or maintained levees and flood protection structures, not just publicly owned ones

Directs the Louisiana Law Institute to change all "Gulf of Mexico" references to "Gulf of America" throughout the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 and all codified state law

Louisiana's historic gulfward boundary extends three marine leagues (nine geographic miles or 10.357 statute miles) into the Gulf of America
