LA SCR21

Establishes the Louisiana-Ireland Trade Commission to advance bilateral trade and investment, promote business and academic exchanges, and encourage mutual infrastructure investment between Louisiana and Ireland

Commission comprises 12 members: 2 senators, 2 representatives, 1 restaurant industry representative, 1 oil and gas industry representative, and 6 governor appointees including at least one higher education representative and two Irish-American community members

All appointments must be made by September 1, 2025, with the first meeting convened by October 1, 2025

Commission must submit a written report with findings and legislative recommendations to the governor and legislature by March 1, 2026

Members serve without compensation; commission terminates upon report submission or August 1, 2026, whichever occurs first
