Creates the Task Force on Career Alignment to develop a statewide strategy for implementing education-to-career counseling at public postsecondary institutions to retain Louisiana graduates in the state

Task force will study employer engagement mechanisms, work-based learning expansion (internships, apprenticeships), career services best practices, and create an accountability framework with report cards to track graduate retention

Comprises 20 members including the commissioner of higher education and Louisiana Workforce Commission secretary as co-chairs, plus representatives from all four public university systems, private colleges, economic development agencies, business groups, and four student members

Designees must be submitted by July 15, 2025; first meeting by August 1, 2025; interim report due January 21, 2026; final report due January 21, 2027

Task force addresses national underemployment rates exceeding 50% in the first year after graduation and supports implementation of Act 330 of 2024 aligning higher education with workforce needs
