Designates the village of Cankton in St. Landry Parish as the "Accordion Capital of Louisiana" in recognition of its contributions to Cajun music

Honors Sheryl Cormier, the "Queen of Cajun Music" and first professional female Cajun accordionist, who received a Grammy nomination in 1993 and was inducted into the Cajun Music Hall of Fame in 1997

Recognizes Belton Richard, founder of "The Musical Aces," and Leland Colligan, who has handcrafted custom accordions under the "Acadiana Triple Hearts" brand since 1983

Acknowledges additional celebrated accordionists from Cankton including Clarence "Junior" Martin, Phil Menard, Mack Comeaux, Alex Touchet, and Felix and Sterling Richard of "Cankton Express"

Directs a copy of the resolution be transmitted to Cankton Mayor Kevin Colligan
