Imposes a temporary moratorium on new alcoholic beverage permits in Louisiana House District 2 from August 1, 2026 through December 31, 2027

Applies only to Class B and Class C permits for establishments with less than 5,000 square feet of public habitable floor area

Existing valid permits as of August 1, 2026 may continue and be renewed if holders remain in compliance with state and local laws

Permit holders who cease operations or let their permit lapse for any reason lose eligibility to renew and cannot obtain permits for additional locations in District 2

Effective upon the governor's signature or upon expiration of the time for gubernatorial action
