Historical statues or monuments owned by public entities that are removed from public display must be transferred to the Office of State Parks within the Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, including all rights of custody and control

Public entities removing monuments are responsible for coordinating and completing delivery to the Office of State Parks

The Office of State Parks must designate and maintain a location within the state park system for placement and display of transferred monuments, with consideration for preservation and public access

Interpretive signage or materials must be provided for each monument presenting accurate historical context, including the subject commemorated and circumstances of original placement and removal

The Office of State Parks may promulgate rules under the Administrative Procedure Act to implement these requirements
