Adds a formal definition of "construction contract" to R.S. 9:2779, covering agreements for design, construction, alteration, renovation, repair, or maintenance of buildings, structures, highways, roads, bridges, utility lines, and other real property improvements

Excludes from the definition: dirt or gravel roads accessing oil and gas wells, oil flow lines and gas gathering lines for transporting production, and deeds, leases, easements, or licenses granting property interests

Retains existing law declaring null and unenforceable any contract provisions requiring Louisiana construction disputes to be resolved in out-of-state forums or interpreted under another state's laws

Applies to contracts where one party is domiciled in Louisiana and the work involves construction projects in the state, for agreements entered on or after September 6, 1991

Does not apply to negotiated labor contracts
