Repeals R.S. 13:981 in its entirety, eliminating the court reporter pool of 30 court reporters employed by the Louisiana Supreme Court for assignment to district courts

Eliminates the $15,000 annual salary paid by the Supreme Court to pool court reporters, as well as associated travel expense provisions

Removes the requirement for the Supreme Court to assign pool court reporters on a geographical basis to district courts

Ends the judicial administrator's authority to contract with shorthand court reporting companies as an alternative to employing the full quota of pool reporters
